House in a Plum Grove

The SANAA group is best known in the US for the New Museum in New York, but this building has a much bigger place in my heart.

Built on a tiny corner lot in Tokyo for a three generation family of five with pets, the house is a really great example of making small spaces feel larger and allowing room for each member of the family.
It's an amazing combination of traditional Japanese space for the home with high technology and cutting-edge materials.

This house really interests me and I'll definitely be making a longer post on it in the future.

A (not very good) video of the home's interior
