Naoya Hatakeyama

His work is up at ICP in New York until September, I'm definitely gonna try to see it.

I just read a new interview with him, I like how unassumingly he speaks about his work. It deals with human interaction with the earth, both the quiet and loud, among other things. He talks about the fragility of the city in the 21st century and the Japanese familiarity with destruction. I pulled the images above from the interview page - but there's a pretty wide range of subjects and moods in his body of work, I'm going to keep looking for more images.
