Perseids Letdown

We drove out from the city lights, or at least it felt like we did, but I guess we only made it out to Darien. Lots of clouds and a light-polluted sky made for disappointing viewing. I think I saw one meteor but it could have been my eyes fooling me. There was almost nothing to see.

Tonight made me miss Oberlin's dark skies. I'm moving away from O'Hare to be next to the Manhattan skyline. When is the next time I'll see the Milky Way?
