Shrinking World

Global accessibility map commissioned by the World Bank's Reshapinging Economic Geography report, showing travel distance to major cities. The most striking conclusion of this map to me was the shrinking amount of true wilderness - only ten percent of land area is truly remote, by their definition 48 hours distance or more from a major city.
