Reincarnated McMansions

The Reincarnated McMansion project is seeking to raise awareness of unsustainable urbanism and building practices by dismantling and upcycling at least two model McMansions, and are currently looking for candidate houses.

Not to be bitter, but I know Elmhurst would benefit from an awareness project like this - the silver lining of the housing crisis is that decent, quality houses in Elmhurst are no longer being torn down for cheaply built monsters. I can think of a few houses on my block that would be good candidates....

As houses like these get foreclosed and the suburbs' former inhabitants empty out, this project seems more and more relevant.
