Strange Overtones

It's been 27 years since David Byrne and Brian Eno released an album together, so it's pretty exciting that their new album, Everything That Happens Will Happen Today is coming out this month on the 18th. It looks like it'll be a more traditional pop album than Bush of Ghosts, with Byrne singing and writing most of the lyrics and Eno composing most of the music.

The release is going to be In Rainbows style, with little to no marketing for the album and an initial download-only distribution. So far there's no label for the album either.
The first single was just released, it's a free download when you supply an email address. I've only listened to it once so far but it sounded pretty good.

Sublime pop. You couldn´t expect anything less from Byrne/Eno. It´s only a matter of days before we hear the rest of the album. I can only guess, but it wouldn´t surprise me if the album turned out to be a true masterpiece.
