Perseids Letdown

We drove out from the city lights, or at least it felt like we did, but I guess we only made it out to Darien. Lots of clouds and a light-polluted sky made for disappointing viewing. I think I saw one meteor but it could have been my eyes fooling me. There was almost nothing to see.
Future Primitive

I was just talking to my friend Eric out in Colorado and he was telling me about breaking his wrist skateboarding downhill. To illustrate the type of skating he was doing, he linked me to a great video from 1985 with a lot of big names. I don't think skateboarding will ever really be a thing for me but there're so many appealing things about the culture.

Been looking at Jean Jullien's portfolio - a really nice photographer, illustrator, and designer. I'm really attracted to the work, especially the moleskine sketches collection. I've been trying to start up daily sketching again - I have to get a nice pocket book first I guess.
