These got online in various other ways but I should still put them up on here. I like some a lot more than others - it got pared down to three for the show.

Flatpack Hotel Rooms

A French company called Abilmo has 'put forward their offer' for rapid-assemble prefabricated bedrooms, complete with full-sized bed and private bathroom. Their market is apparently big festivals and sporting events that are lacking accommodations, but I'm not sure how often that really happens. When cities host events there are normally hotels already standing, and when events occur out in the country people tend to bring a tent or a camper. What environment will host these sorts of things?Either way I still like the idea of an entire hotel's worth of rooms being shipped across the country and assembled in a few minutes time.

The Hood Internet vs. Chicago

This compilation came out in late May, but I just got around to listening to it now. It would have been perfect for my old show on WOBC, you got two Chicago DJs making a mash-up album featuring Chicago-based artists. I'm having trouble telling whether or not most of these songs work after the novelty wears off (I'm pretty sure the Kanye West/Wilco/1985 Bears track doesn't). Anyway it's a free compilation, if you listen to a lot of musicians from Chicago (and who doesn't) it should be interesting. Download sites are listed here.
